These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Meow Path mobile game and any related services we operate. By downloading, installing, or playing Meow Path, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
1. The game
Meow Path is a casual puzzle game where a cat kicks a yarn ball through a grid. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Meow Path is developed and operated by Jordan Thrash ("we", "us", "our").
2. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Meow Path. If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Your player profile, saves & recovery
You do not need an email address or password to play. When the game connects to our services, it automatically creates or reuses a player profile identified by a generated identifier. Your public name uses preset words and a number, and you can change it with the in-game name picker. Your name, cat avatar and game results may appear on leaderboards and to your buddies.
Keep your recovery key private. It lets someone with the key transfer supported saved progress, buddy relationships and wallet data to another installation. Recovery replaces the receiving installation's saved progress; it is not a promise to combine all progress or transfer every historical leaderboard entry. A used recovery key is retired. Buddy invite codes are separate and are intended to be shared with people you want to add.
Reset progress restarts gameplay progress; it does not delete your player identity, buddies or purchase and wallet records. Uninstalling the app does not delete your server profile. See the Privacy Policy for data-deletion requests.
4. License to use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Meow Path for your own personal entertainment, subject to these Terms. This license does not give you any ownership in the game or its content.
5. Purchases, Red Fish & restoration
Meow Path offers optional Remove Ads and Red Fish packs. Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to the store's terms. Products vary by platform; Red Fish pack purchases are currently supported on iOS. The purchase screen shows the applicable price and contents before you confirm. Prices and availability may change for future purchases.
Remove Ads disables automatic interstitial advertisements. Optional rewarded ads remain available if you choose them. Restore purchase can restore an eligible Remove Ads entitlement from the store; it does not refill consumable fish packs. Supported unspent wallet balances can be recovered with your game save through the recovery-key process, subject to successful verification.
Red Fish are virtual items for use within Meow Path, not money or a bank balance. They cannot be cashed out or sold to other players. Purchases and wallet changes are verified. Refunds may remove the associated fish, including reducing an available balance when those fish were already spent; reversing a refund can restore the corresponding fish. Contact us if a verified purchase has not appeared.
For refunds, use the store you purchased from. These Terms do not exclude refunds or other remedies required by applicable law or the store's policies.
6. Advertising & rewarded ads
Meow Path is supported by advertising. You may choose to watch rewarded ads for the in-game benefit described in the offer. Ad availability depends on your device, privacy choices, connectivity and the provider; a reward requires the ad provider to confirm that the reward was earned.
See our Privacy Policy and Ad preferences in Settings for advertising choices. These advertising controls do not control separate gameplay analytics.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, hack, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized automation.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the game except where applicable law permits it despite this restriction.
- Interfere with our servers, leaderboards, or other players.
- Abuse buddy features, misuse invite codes or recovery keys, or try to access another player's data without permission.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialize the game or its content.
- Use the game in any way that violates applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
Meow Path, including its name, logo, artwork, characters, code, levels, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from it except as expressly allowed by these Terms.
9. Buddies & shared game activity
Buddies connects players by invitation and supports predefined boops and game challenges. It does not provide public chat or free-text messages. Your public name comes from the game's preset choices.
You can give a buddy a private alias. It is not shown to that buddy or other players, but it may appear in notifications sent to your devices. Avoid using sensitive personal information in aliases. You retain any rights you have in text you provide and permit us to store and process it only as needed to provide these features, including save recovery and notification delivery. Our Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled.
You can remove a buddy in the game. Removing a buddy deletes the relationship and private aliases and blocks new invitations until you unblock them. It does not erase all historical activity. Unblocking does not restore the relationship.
10. Availability & changes
Online features depend on connectivity and service availability. We may update, suspend or discontinue the game or a feature, subject to applicable law and any required notice or remedies. We work to preserve saved progress but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or successful recovery in every situation. Keep your recovery key safe before changing devices.
11. Disclaimers
Meow Path is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the game will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Meow Path - including from purchases, ads, or interruptions - even if we were advised of the possibility. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50 if you made no purchases. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Termination
You may stop using Meow Path at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we operate (currently the United States), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory protections under the laws of your country, which these Terms do not override.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice and seek agreement to material changes. Changes do not override your mandatory consumer rights or provide consent for optional data processing.
